Pete Wells from the New York times visits KRESCENDO

 "The Finocchio Flower Power is the pizza version of the sparkly oven, a lavishly constructed detail that lets you know that Krescendo is much better than the neighborhood Italian joint it is trying to pass for. I do not know why Ms. Falkner and Nancy Puglisi, the restaurant’s owner, camouflaged the place so thoroughly, but the result is that not enough people are talking about Krescendo."

..."Southern Italian delicacies like the Pennetee al Nero, a squid ink pasta topped with sea urchin and cherry tomatoes, and the crispy Bianco pizza topped with three cheeses, kale and fried sage leaves, make Krescendo anything but your ordinary pizzeria."

Jacob & Sophie came to KRESCENDO for their birthday... You may recognize Jacob from our Facebook page as The Next Iron Chef in training... at this age he has mastered a Turkey Pot Pie... and.... wait for this.... Chocolate Souffle`.

Jacob summoned up the nerve to ask Chef Falkner to sign his chef coat - can you see the ear to ear grin on his face?

Too bad the labor laws in NY are so strict, I am sure that Chef Falkner could use a Sous Chef!
